That's a lot of money to Andrew -- five whole weeks allowance! He spends a sleepless night, torn between his desire for freckles and his reluctance to part with such a substantial sum of money. Finally, the freckles win, and Andrew decides to accept Sharon's offer. After school, Andrew rushes home (with the recipe tucked into his shoe for safekeeping). He carefully begins to mix the strange combination of ingredients -- and immediately runs into some unforeseen problems. Rating: - My Granddaughter loved it!!!!!!!!1This book was required reading for my granddaughter when she went into the 3rd grade. Once she began reading, she couldn't put it down till she finished it. I can remember when I used to have some of the authors books written for adults and how much I enjoyed them especially one she wrote many years ago about turning 40. Andrew was funny. Sharon was mean. Nickywas mysterious. I thought that Nicky liked his freckles, but he did not like them. My favorite part was when he drank the feckle juice.
