 Rating:  - Waste of moneyBook shows you how to make holes in your clothes and stitch patches on. I'm not sure it was necessary to publish a book on how to get the trailer park look. I was hoping to get great ideas on how to alter clothes I buy at second hand stores so they fit me better. And too just cool alterations to make, but this was not the case. I wish I would have looked at customer images submitted under this title before I bought the book bc this will give you a good idea of what the book is about- making holes ... Read More Rating:  - Great FUN book! Missleading reviews. I bought this book after seeing it at a DIY fair. A booth had projects set up from this book that came out terrific. It has some great tricks for mending clothes as well. It taught me to hem my pants and keep the original hem, that tip alone has saved me more $ than the price of this book. It costs me $12 a pair of pants to be hemmed. I'm 5'4 and have to hem all my pants. My neice loves this book and I think it's a little more her speed being 15 and creative, she likes to embellish and recreate her ... Read More Rating: - I loved this book!!!The first time I sewed anything was in middle school shop class - we made this hideous blouse that I never wore because I didn't like the material or the pattern. I decided to get back into sewing because while I didn't like the end result, I loved the process. I have a sewing machine coming and I can't wait to get started. I want to try at least a few of the techniques I saw in this book. Imagine being able to tailor make your own clothes! I HIGHLY recommend this book. Rating:  - Misleading titleI was disappointed in this book. There is some good basic information, but very little "deconstruction". A majority of the projects are merely adding decorations or embellishments to garments. Large print and a lot of white space on the pages make the book appear more substantial than what it actually contains. There are no pictures of actual examples, which would be helpful.
