I like your "ask a pet specialist" area very much. The article about pets on prozac was great!  Lori - Physical Therapist - London ON

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good pick for even the most experienced hunters!
My dad is an avid hunter so I was a bit concerned this book would only repeat everything he knew. To my delight, my dad was very impressed. The step-by-step dressing instructions highlighted the best way to dress your wild game for optimum use in the recipies provided. Additionally, the recipies were not the same old wild game meals captured in every hunting/gaming book. New variations on classic recipies and light/fresh options that even non-game eaters would be hard-pressed to turn down. Overall, ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Good general overview, but absolute beginners should not rely on this book alone.
The reason I give this book a three is because I killed two squirrels today but was not able to successfully field dress/skin them. The book got me close and gave me a good general idea but could have included more tips for beginners. For example, it could have talked about how to keep hair off the meat or it could have given more detailed information about pulling the guts out. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - pretty good book
it covers a wide varity og game and has some interesting ideas

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Dressing and Cooking Wild Game
The book contains excellent photography making it most helpful; the problem I found with it however was the example shown for field dressing the deer. In my opinion opening the carcass from chin all the way through the crotch area is absolutely wrong. A much better way is discussed in the book entitled, "Butchering Deer" by John Weiss.
Dressing and cooking wild game is an excellent book in all other aspects and would have rated five stars if this area was correct.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gift for my husband
This book has realy been a great help for my husband. It gives him a quicker technic for cutting wild game meat. The book was received in great shape. Thank you very much.
