![]() Rating: - This is a good chakra class book.I was surprised at how well this book was put together. I considered myself fairly knowledgeable on the chakra system but this book was less technical but more practical about the basics of the system. It has been wonderful grow another level using this book. After journeying threw the book, I'm humbled and left thirsty to learn more. The only con is that the photo's in the book need updating, although I did find the 1980's clothing to be amusing. Rating: - Wonderful and InformativeThis book is one of the best Chakra books available. It is suited for the beginner along with someone like me that has been studing Chakras for several years now. Each Chapter is devoted to 1 Chakra, in it you have several sections like general information, correspondences, then Yoga practices that can be done alone or with a partner or group, and journaling exercises. There are also sections for people into the Metaphysical world like Alter setups and Rituals.. Put all this together and you have ... However, with that said, this book omits all but the most essential "background" information about the various Charkras themselves. It is perhaps best studied along with another book with more information (Anodea Judith's other book, WHEELS OF LIFE, for example). Since you're likely to obtain ... Read More Rating: - New Age, New Age, New Age. . .I began to read this book and put it away thinking that I was having a bad day and was not open and receptive. A few weeks later I picked it up again and continued to read it hoping that I might be open to its message. Again, I was not impressed on my second attempt although I felt a bit more open than on my first reading. I am not an expert in chakras but I am doing a good deal of reading in the subject lately. What I am learning is that chakras in the west are predominately cloaked in "New Age rhetoric" ... Read More
