Diagrams and directions are good, and there are some awesome quilts in this book! Rating:  - Pieced BordersI have looked through the book but since I don't have a quilt in the works to try a pattern on, I cannot comment on the instructions for doing the pattern. The patterns that are illustrated look very good and gives a good choice of ideas to use. Rating: - Learn to Design BordersThis book is great! But it's not for beginners, or timid quiltmakers. Some of the designs are rather complicated and time consuming. But oh boy, what a difference a beautiful border makes to your quilt! You'll find patterns, diagrams, tables of measurements, and colorful before and after pictures of lovely quilts with and without the borders.
