Editorial Review:

Product Description:
It’s supposed to be a happy day at the Magic Kingdom – the teenage holographic hosts have returned. But things go very wrong when a sudden lightning storm disrupts the celebration, and Amanda’s mysterious sister, Jez, disappears. The only clue is the sighting of a wild monkey in the Magic Kingdom during the storm.
The mystery deepens as Finn is contacted by Wayne, an old man he hasn’t heard from in months. Wayne tells Finn that there’s trouble at the Animal Kingdom: the evil Overtakers have gained control of one of the computer servers that will be used to operate Daylight Holographic Imaging there. That means if any of the holographic hosts fall asleep, they will go into comas – permanently.

Filled with action and brimming with the same meticulous detail as The Kingdom Keepers: Disney After Dark (also available in audio from Brilliance Audio), this second audiobook in the series – Disney at Dawn – is the result of hands-on research behind the scenes at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. Younger and older listeners alike will get a glimpse into a second Disney kingdom. The wild rides have only just begun, and the clock is ticking. How long can the teens keep themselves awake in their quest to find their friend – and what happens if they fail?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Great Read for a Disney Lover
I purchased this book at the request of my daughter who and previously read and enjoyed the first book - Kingdom Keepers. She thoroughly enjoyed it and hopes there will be more such books from this author.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - A dissapointing sequel
The first kingdom keepers was great. I found it to be stimulating, engaging, funny and interesting. The development of characters was strong, the dialogue stimulating yet at the same time easy, while the plot was interesting and mysterious. The characters were likable and the book itself had a sense of magic

The second book is lacking in the development of all characters (except Finn) and the dialogue is much less humorous then before. The plot was engaging yet one sided, once again, ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must-read sequel for any fantasy and/or Disney fan
The Magic Kingdom is celebrating the return of their popular teenaged holographic hosts (called DHIs, referring to "Daylight Hologram Images"), the Kingdom Keepers, and the real Kingdom Keepers have been invited to be in the parade. When they see their DHIs, however, the five teens --- Finn, Philby, Charlene, Maybeck and Willa --- all feel a little uneasy. While the added perks of being the Kingdom Keepers are nice, they still wonder if the Overtakers could return once again to control the world of ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Get on with it!!!!!
I don't know what Ridley Pearson is waiting for. The first and second book both repeatedly refer to the "overtakers" but so far we've met only one. The Disney villain roster is a myriad of frightful miscreants but Pearson has for some reason centered on Malificent only. Granted, she is probably the most intriguing of all the D.V.'s, but where's the evil Queen from snow white? Where's Captain Hook? Where's Ursala,Hades, Scar, Jafar,or the evil Step-Mother? With all this evil talent it is dissapointing ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Kingdom Keepers Rule
This is a great follow up to the first Kingdom Keepers. The author is also responsible for the three Peter Pan Prequel Books. He is also very familiar with the back stage workings of the Disney Theme Parks and that makes this rather fantasy story seem all the more real. The kids are great characters and in this on we learn that Malificent is not the real leader and that the real leader is one of the scariest and most feared of all the villians ever created for a Disney movie. I hope he continues because ... Read More
