His chiseled good looks and imposing physique are sure to impress the lady-in-waiting, and if it weren’t for his shocking American ways and wild reputation, her hand would already be guaranteed. Before the courtship can begin, Rafe realizes he must learn the rules of London society. But when four former Wallfowers try their hand at matchmaking, no one knows what will happen. And winning a bride turns out to be more complicated than Rafe Bowman anticipated, especially for a man accustomed to getting anything he wants. However, Christmas works in the most unexpected ways, changing a cynic to a romantic and inspiring passion in the most timid of hearts. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - surprisingly enjoyable holiday treatI'll admit it: I was surprised at how good A WALLFLOWER CHRISTMAS was. We get a brief reunion with all four wallflowers, who have assembled for the Christmas holidays, and see a special moment with each lady and her current husband. Meanwhile, we get a brief but effective romance for Lillian and Daisy's brother, Rafe Bowman. Rafe is prepared for an arranged marriage. He's been set up with Natalie Blandford, a beautiful English aristocrat whose family could use an infusion of American ... Read More Rating: - good but not greatLisa Kleypas's Christmas story for Wallflowers is good, and nice if you've read the series, but not a must-have. It's got a satisfying love story in it, but one that occupies only a small portion of the (as it is scanty) real estate. I'm torn on reviewing this--I really did like the Wallflowers series, and this did seem like a nice add-on, but I'm not sure the hardcover price would be worth it, and I definitely don't think it would be if you haven't read all of the Wallflower series yet. ... Read More Rating: - Really Good, but I Want More!!I was given this novel as a gift for Christmas and I was delighted! I started reading the book at 10pm, I couldn't for one minute put it down and continue to read through until the wee hours of the morning. Yes, I finished the book in 10 hours! It was very short and I wish we got more insight into the main characters! I felt it was rushed at the end. I would have given this book 5 stars, except for the fact that I was left with wanting more! I hate feeling unsatisfied! Rating: - Fun, romantic story for a first-time Kleypas readerA fast, fun journey through ninteenth-century London with a group of family, friends and would-be lovers. In this sequel to Lisa Kleypas's Wallflowers series, sisters Lillian and Daisy are happily settled into married life in England and have turned their sights to helping their older brother Rafe find a wife. Thomas Bowman, head of the family, has decided upon a "suitable" wife for his son -- blond, blue-blooded Natalie -- but hasn't bargained on what will happen when Rafe's intrigue is piqued not by ... Read More Rating: - I NEEDED A WALLFLOWER FIXHave enjoyed the Wallflower series so much, I hate to see it end. Of course my favorites were Marcus and Sebastian. They were there but I could have read more of them. Rafe and Hannah's story was very good, but I couldnt wait for Marcus and Lillian to come into the pictue. It was so funny reading Lillian's jealousy of Marcus and the woman Lillian keeps seeing him talking to. After all the jabs she made at him in "It happened one Autumn", he finally gets his revenge. What a good one ... Read More
