I'm married to Bobby Polgar now (you know, the famous chess champion who just happens to be the man I love!). And we've got this beautiful house with a view of Puget Sound. Lately something's been worrying Bobby, though. When I asked, he said he was "protecting his queen" -- and I got the oddest feeling he wasn't talking about chess but about me. He wouldnÂ’t say anything else. Do you remember Get Nailed, the beauty salon in Cedar Cove? I still work there. I'll tell you about my friend Rachel, who's got two men interested in her (count 'em, two). And I'll let you in on what I've heard about Linnette McAfee, who left town when her love life fell apart. (That kind of trouble I know all about.) Come in soon for a manicure and a chat, okay? Teri (Miller) Polgar Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - 74 Seaside AvenueI enjoyed it very much. Her books are very clean (language & morals) and I can pass them on to my daughters. She has lots of different stories going on. Each chapter tells a story about a different charactor, and they all come together at the end. Her books come in a series acording to the address. (Lowest number first.) Rating: - after seven, can't wait for book 8I've read all Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cross novels and after six books, the series usually falls stale, but that isn't the case with book seven. Bobby Polgar's wife is threatened with death if her husband competes in theupcoming chess match. But the main storyline is only skimming the surface. As usual, the side plots are well drawn out and add spice to the series and makes you wait for book 8. Rating: - Very happyI had a great reading about Bobby, Teri, Rachel, Olivia and Grace. It had me laughting and crying at some places. Rating: - Another great visit to Cedar CoveThe worst part about this book is waiting for the next one. I love Cedar Cove. It's like visiting with friends or catching up on family. It is also easy to read when you have a hectic life and can only read in short time spans. I think each book gets better, but I found the whole Russian evil chess player story a little out of place in the series. Don't get me wrong, it didn't slow down my reading. I love all Debbie Macomber's series and books. But this series is the best and warmest ... Read More Rating: - Not my cup of teaI went into the romance department of the bookstore and picked out this book. This is my first (and probably last) novel by this writer. It just simply wasn't what I was looking for in a summer read. For me, I wasn't really interested in these characters. I didn't find myself wanting to know more and some of the characters were too similar and the women seemed to have confidence issues.
