The sting of death in grieving for a lost one or the fear of dying ourselves are so overcome that we no longer feel sorry for our own condition when we see what God has promised in that better life. Alcorn clearly has spent many years researching where Christians with a true relationship with Jesus Christ will be spending our eternity. Rating: - Short and SweetSome folks have complained about this book's lack of proofs and research. I frankly don't see that, unless one wishes not to be convinced. Alcorn gives plenty of scriptural back-up for his premises. If you want college text level documentation, you need to pick up his "Heaven" instead. "Light" is great for someone who doesn't have the energy to attack a substantial work like "Heaven". I bought it for my mom, who is caring for my dad, who is suffering from senile dementia.
