The world you live in promotes sex as the answer to just about everything. The pressure to go along with the crowd is greater than ever before, and it’s easy to compromise in little ways that are a lot more harmful than they seem. You and your friends may become caught up in destructive relationships or sexual activities without even knowing how you got there. You just want to be normal–to fit in, to be liked, to look attractive to the opposite sex. But are you paying too high a price? This counterpart to the award-winning Every Young Man’s Battle can help you: · learn how the sexual battle begins in your heart and mind · understand your hunger for attention from guys · recognize and avoid the potential pitfalls awaiting young women on the journey toward adulthood and possibly marriage · find out how the media, novels, fashion, internet chat rooms, and body and beauty obsessions influence your sexual choices–and what you can do about it · guard your mind, heart, and body against sexual and emotional compromise · develop a deeper, more satisfying level of intimacy with God Whether you have so far protected yourself emotionally and sexually, feel that you’ve been robbed of your purity, or have given in to temptation in some way, this book can help you achieve or reclaim sexual integrity. It can also guide you through the temptations and pressures of young adulthood while demonstrating how you can live your life to the fullest–without regrets. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - How to damage a teenage girl's esteem, physically and mental awarenessI read this book because there was a reference to it in an article I read on the failure of "abstinence only" sex education. This book is an insult to teens and adults, the most archaic piece of clap-trap I have read in a long time. One of the chapter headings should have been "You'll go blind if you masturbate!" Really. It's that bad. Stay far, far away.... Rating: - Ok, but not the best..this wasn't the best book ever.. but it was very much worth while. WARNING TO ALL: this is NOT a book about peer pressure or friends.. this is about guys, girls, and sex. Although it would be soooo helpful to teenage girls if they seemed to boy crazy, looking for the wrong type of boys, or were the target of some particular guy already, this book is not the best! *sigh* It was a very good read though. And it did teach me more! I actually couldn't put it down! Although could've been better, it is ... This is a must read for every teenage girl!! Rating: - totally out of touchI found myself checking the copywrite date on the book because it seemed to have been written long, long ago. The pop culture references are from days past. I noticed this book got a lot of positive reviews from older women and that makes a lot of sense to me. I will say that this book is NOT inappropriate for any young lady over the age of 12. there is nothing described in the book that a girl over the age of 12 hasn't already been exposed to. Believe me Moms, as much as you might ... Read More Rating: - Good for younger readers, relevant for all agesAfter having some struggles of my own, I picked up this book at the library and tore through it on a 10-hour drive to PA. I found it well-written and honest. I loved how nearly every possible sexual temptation had a chapter of its own, and was pretty relieved when only one or two of the chapters really applied to me. The big negative of this book was the silly definitions at the bottom of the pages. I'm 21 years old, just one year older than the suggested range of 20-14, and I knew every single ... Read More
