 Rating: - Not one dull moment in this book!I own two somewhat "complicated" horses and this book helped me to understand more about them, as individuals. It helped me to identify changes that I need to make in their training to help each of them reach their potential. I especially enjoyed the author's stories as she explained how she reached an opinion about all the horses she worked with. Her accounts were not too lengthy, yet detailed enough to give you enough information so that you almost felt you were there with her at the time. Rating: - Excellent book, very insightful, great examplesI found Ride the Right Horse to be an insightful book, well-written and fun to read. The author provided many meaningful examples to illustrate the various horse personalities as she has defined them. Taken together with the people personalities (as defined by Myers-Briggs) I can see this book being very useful for all horse people, from beginners to highly advanced, regardless of discipline. Rating: - Great book for the novice and not so novice riderA friend loaned me this book and I loved it. Yvonne Barteau's simple method of identifying horse dispositions and character traits can be easily understood and used by both the novice and experienced horse person.
