Miriam arrives from overseas not expecting to find her sister dead and nieces living in neglect of feminine supervision. Alisa is fleeing false accusations and seeking a place of quiet refuge. Delilah carries a burden of pain from her past and won't risk trusting anyone again. Will any of the rough-around-the-edges brothers stand a chance of barring their hearts from love as they offer a hand of compassion? Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Love the Chances novellasI enjoyed all three Chances books. I particularly like Cathy Hake's writing. She writes a good story with character development that makes you want to meet the people in the stories Rating: - Sucked Me InThis novella is AWSOME!!! This book introduced me to the world of Christian Romance. As soon as I finished this book I said "I HAVE to get Kentucky Chances!" The second book was as good as the first. Raine~ Rating: - California ChancesThese are three novellas in one. Although, they are not very long and written by three different women, they seemed long! I didn't even finish the third one. Maybe it was good, but I was worn out! The second was better than the first, but I don't recommend the book. The story and the characters, especially in the first one, just weren't all that interesting. Rating: - California BridesWas a continuance of the Chance family from Kentucky,& was a really relaxing read. I thoroughly enjoy the closeness, love,Christian values of this family. Would love more of the saga of this family. Hope they write more than the three books on them. Rating: - A Nice Escape From RealityI believe the above reviewer was referring to "California Chances", not "California Brides". "California Brides" is about the next generation of Chances. "Kentucky Chances" and "California Chances" are about the six Chance brothers. This book is about their daughters. I love these books because I have always loved reading about big families. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments in all of these books. I love the colorful way in which they talk. I guess "charming" would be the right word, but ... Read More
