 Rating: - good overalloverall, I like this book...the story type history is very readable for children- to them and also by them independently. But I think that the time periods covered in the book are not put together well...they jump all over in time instead of following an organized time line. Rating:  - Strong writing and historyVery strong writing and good, solid, organized history. Makes concepts accessible for young learners. Rating: - Easy LearningWe have this series on CD now and the whole family enjoys listening to it on a car journey. It is a good run through history, with things even the adults did not know before. Rating:  - PLEASE view ALL 1-starred reviews before making your purchaseI would not have bothered to write a review of this book for there are many 1-starred reviews here already and many have made very good arguments against this book (if only I had read those before purchasing). However, I feel compelled to add one more negative review because I feel the need to balance out the 5-star reviews. This book makes me question Ms. Bauer's Well-Trained Mind and whether I should use her materials in my homeschool curriculum. Rating: - Homeschool materialExcellent material. I really like how this material is designed to to cycle through over three times during a child's homeschool experience in grades K-12.
