Invading people's privacy comes naturally to Izzy and all the Spellmans. If only they could leave their work at the office. Izzy walks an indistinguishable line between Spellman family member and Spellman employee. But when Izzy decides to get out of the family business in search of normalcy, she ends up taking on the most important case of her life. The Spellman Files is an unforgettable introduction to the Spellman family in all its lovable chaos. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - "Harriet the Spy" On DrugsA delightfully sharp tale of a family run private investigative firm. This dysfunctional, but endearing group of people cannot resist taking their work home with them; they run surveilance on each other, background checks on dates, etc. Rating: - Wheres the plot? I struggled to get through this book. For the first 2/3 of the book there is no plot. The main character gives her accounts of what happens to her in ridiculous situations. There is nothing to like about the main character and the scenarios are so far fetched that it really lost my interest. The end of the book started to catch my interest which is why I rated it with 2 stars instead of 1. Not sure why so many people are in love with his book, I found it boring. Rating: - entertainingI just ordered the next book, The Curse of the Spellman's, for more laughs. This book was fun; I enjoyed all of it. Rating: - Super FunnyI read a lot of serious books, but sometimes like to kick back with a comedy. This book had me laughing out loud many times! What a crazy family. I'm looking forward to reading the next one. Rating: - A fun and interesting read!I love Lisa Lutz's books! They're very well written, funny, and have a novel (pun intended) storyline. I read many mysteries, and I'm very picky about what I'll spend time reading. I've enjoyed both of her books and look forward to the next. Hurry up, Lisa!
