The Amazon Store at MillionDollarPetPix.com ( In association with Amazon.com )Be the Pack Leader: Use Cesar's Way to Transform Your Dog . . . and Your Life - Just a repeat of the first bookI enjoyed the fist Cesar book "Cesar's Way" and was looking forward to this book being more practical instruction, which he says it is in the beginning. Well it is a repeat of the first book with new stories of how other people have amazing dogs now. He doesn't explain how to be calm assertive, or what that looks like. He just tells you to "be calm assertive". I was looking for more practical application. And when to use it. I like his ideas but I need to know how to apply them to my life. So I recommend the first book for some eye opening philosophy. But you can skip this one. Rating: - NOT APPLICABLEI bought this as a gift for my neice at Christmas. I'm sure she loved it. Rating: - BE THE PACK LEADERThis book should be a must read for any person who has a dog or is thinking of getting a dog. As an obedience instructor I find 99% of the problems are human related not dog related and all becuase there has been no pack structure established in the household. This book outlines some very simple solutions to everyday problems and how to establish the respect required to live in harmony with our dogs. I love the Babying Bandit first line where he states that there haven't been any cases on "Dog Whisperer" where he thought he couldn't help the dog but there have been a handful of cases where he could not help the owner. I still laugh about this line as it is very very true. A great book for any dog person. Be the Pack Leader: Use Cesar's Way to Transform Your Dog . . . and Your Life Rating: - Dog training bookNice read. Very philosophical, but a little challenging to apply to my particular dog/puppy situation. Rating: - Good read but nothing newThis book is not a dog training book. There is nothing new in here. There are really no explicit instructions on how to train a dog and to prevent the behaviors. Vinny
