The dog has broken your house!! Rating:  - Crate training"The Art of Raising a Puppy" by the New Skete Monks, who also wrote "How to be your dogs best friend",have a good chapter on crate training. If you're getting a new dog or puppy I recomend both books. They routinely work with "problem" dogs, or problems in living with dogs. Rating: - Dogs can't readThis book provides a very succinct script for housebreaking a dog. If a dog could read and follow the script then it would probably work. Unfortunately, the author assumes that all dogs will generally defecate and urinate within 20-30 minutes after eating. If that doesn't work the author says to crate the dog for awhile then try again. Our dog can hold it for hours and hours after eating - what do you do then? The author's script doesn't address this problem so basically you're out of luck if you have a stubborn dog. Rating: - Basic stuff, but helpfulThis was recommended by my puppy's trainer. The schedules are very helpful and easy enough to follow or modify for your own use. My problem is that my puppy hates to be left in her crate and just cries and screams while in it. When's that book coming out? Rating:  - Great Book!!This is a great book!! My puppy was trained within a week and I give credit to this book. It lays down a great plan of action. Just follow the book and you will be much happier with your dog.
