Rating:  - Amazing and addicting!When I read the first blue blood book, In the begining I thought it was an okay..but then you get to the middle and end of the novel..it gets even better. So I purchased masquerade and Oh boy was I addicted! I finished it in a couple of hours and It's SOOO GOOD. This wole love triangle being confused with Oliver and Jack is just amazing and the fact that she has to figure things out on her own especially about the blue bloods makes it even better. I like how all the characters are ALL interesting. It's hard to explain how good the book is but once you read it you'll be hooked.. well only if your into vammpire-romance-mystery stuff. If you like the twilight series than you will like this except it isn't as romantic as twilight but it's more mysterious and fun! this helped me move on from being a huge twi-hard fan. More information is given on Blue Blood powers and weaknesses, and it seems that just as de la Cruz cleverly ties up one mystery, she open up two more. Schuyler and Bliss's characters are more fully realized in masquerade, especially as they begin to mature as Blue Bloods. Schuyler is also forced to deal with her feelings for both Oliver and Jack, leaving readers even more torn than ever. All of these many elements combined will only further draw readers into the glitzy and edgy Blue Blood world, and invoke some strong feelings of anticipation for the solutions to many puzzling mysteries. This highly creative and absorbing book will thrill readers. Rating: - Better than the 1st book - looking forward to book 3This time around Schuyler Van Alen is in search of her grandfather in Italy so he can help her with figuring out information regarding the "Silver Bloods" - a group of evil vampires that are going on a killing spree with the Bluebloods. This book was better that the first because you already know the history of the Bluebloods and not much explanation is needed. The chemistry between Jack and Schulyer (something I, for one, look for even in vampire novels) was a little better than the first book but still it feels underdeveloped in terms of a "romance" and how much the writer wants us to believe that Sky supposedly likes Jack and vise versa. I'm not sure if this series is a trilogy or what but I will read the next one or more to find out what happens between the characters. All in all, this book is good - yet I believe the idea of it is better than the actual series itself. If you haven't read the series yet and don't know what to think of it let me sum it up for you: It's Gossip Girl meets vampires - yet with minimal blood sucking (these vampires like their steaks well, uhm, rare vs. going for the jugular.) - most of the time. Rating: - a wonderful sequelthey alwasy say the 1st book of a series is teh best. thats not true with this one. i was really surpised that i liked them that much but i do. sky's character is very alive and you will laugh with her. way more twists happen and it will keep you wanting more. can't wait for revelations. i wont say anything else i dont want to spoil the book for you, but yes get it.
