Million Dollar Pet Pix

Not everyone has a pet peacock in their back yard, but for the residents in the Jensen Beach area of Florida, seeing peacocks strutting around sidewalks is an everyday occurence, thanks to a park that has been donated and designated as a sanctuary.

Since I go for walks each day in this area I've come to think of these birds as neighborhood pets... and have named this guy Strut, ...

This is Lovely, the dove that decided to make her home in our garage and so became a part-time pet for our household.

It was a bit tricky getting her picture and we ended up having to keep the garage door open all through her nesting so as not to disturb her. The perch is ideal... high enough to keep out of danger and cool. Safe from neighborhood cats who prowl at night.

My pet is a bird... a free wild bird with all the world to call his own. I call him Fred.

Gabby Garnet (GeeGee) is our family's pet parrot. We named him Garnet because of his deep red colour and you can guess why we named him Gabby!
