Here's Angie my angel, little lamb and pet star.
I was in the barn on the night that she was born. Wow! When I saw how cute she was I asked my dad is I could keep her for a pet. He finally said yes after much begging and pleading from me.
I made him promise and cross his heart that Angie would not end up as someone's food. That would make me really sad.
Even tho we live on a farm and I know all about cows and chickens and lambs and goats being raised for food, i still think that being a vegetarian is a good idea and so do a lot fo my frinds. We enjoy lots of good food from the garden but I just don't eat meat at all. I used to but not since I saw Angie being born and holding her.
Angie is really cute and loves to run and jump around a lot. i sometimes chase her but one day her dad came after me. I had to roll under a fence to get away from him or he would have butted me with his horns. Sure did get a scare from that! So, sometimes I ask my dad to put Angie in a smaller paddock where we can run around together.
When she's tired Angie sometimes curls up behind an old barn door we have leaning up against one of the barns.
For a treat I sometimes feed her with a bottle of milk that my mom sweetens with a little honey. Angie really loves that. i used to be able to pick her up but now she is getting too heavy for me. I'm hoping to get a pony on my next birthday and then maybe Angie can run around beside us in the fields.
Don't you think that Angie is just like Mary's little lamb? I do because she follows me around a lot whenever she can. So far though she hasn't come to school with me!
