Scooter the Second is no ordinary dog. He's our family pet and a really friendly guy.
He's always happy and spreads happiness to others who met him. We think this is his calling... to just bring a smile and joy to others.
For this reason we have taken Scooter II on many visits to retirement and nursing homes as well as hospitals since he was just a young pup. Scooter always knows when it is a visiting day (Tuesdays and Thursdays). he gets up earlier than usual on those days and waits by the door with his leash in his mouth waiting for us to get going.
Scooter knows when to be quiet and just cuddle with someone who is ill, or when to play a little when he is with seniors or sick children. We have oodles of photos of the many pals he's made with patients and shut-ins. We put them on a bulletin board in our den so that Scooter can see them... and believe it or not he actually goes to look at them!
Everyone waits for Scooter's visits and we are so proud of the great work he does as a Smile Ambassador. Scooter is an angel of sweetness to many people and we are very, very proud of him. He continues this giving tradition from his father Scooter the First.
