Sean-Boy is our little donkey. Isn't he cute? We jus love his fluffy forelock and his lovely markings. We nearly lost him during his birth, but he is a sturdy little guy now.
Sean-Boy is a little gaffer but strong as they come. He runs around like mad and eats like a horse. We treat him like a pet pony in a way. For treats we give him carrots and handfulls of hay from the byre.
Sultan our shepherd dog likes to chase Sean-boy around the fields, but they really are good friends. When Sean-Boy gets fed up he just gives the dog a bit of a kick to let him know to steer clear a while. Often times we find Sean-Boy up with the sheep in the higher pastures where the grass is longer. This little donkey seems to like to hang out with them a lot.
Maybe one day Sean-Boy will be some sort of transport for us... like horseback riding, but we'll see how we get on. For now, he's just neat to have around and fun to watch. He makes funny sounds and likes to hang out with us too.
