Oreo is a fiesty fella. This zippy young racoon enjoys hide and seek along the canal walls where we live. He jumps or creeps in and out of the lush grasses that are his hiding places. Oreo is one of the many forest friends of our entire neighborhood. He loves to fish and is good at it.
Oreo gives the seagulls and roving cats a good scare when he jumps up from a rock crevice or out of the long grass. It is fun for everyone to watch the antics of Oreo and all his friends. When people come with popcorn and scraps of bread as treats for these outdoor pets, Oreo is always at the front of the action. Because he is young, he is quick to catch the treats. When he misses though you get a face (like this one) and a yelp of annoyance. Too funny!
