This is our pet Sporti-Boy. He has been a family friend for a few years now and we just love his great personality. He's the best pet!
Sporti-Boy likes to run and run... we all take turns trying to keep up with him. He really likes running in the woods near our home and often scares the song birds as he goes.
He is our only pet so far. Me and my brother are hoping to take Sporti-Boy camping with us this year... and maybe even get him into our canoe! Sporti likes to eat a lot, so we think that we will have to carry a lot of extra food unless he turns out to be a good hunter.
At home, Sporti sleeps in my room and usually sleeps on my bed, though it is not really allowed. Even though he is also a pet to my brother Jim, he likes my room better, I guess.
He is a clean pet and a great guard dog... not! Clean yes, guard dog... not so much. While he likes barking, he only does that when he feels like it, not when he should. We think this lovely dog of ours needs better training. He does protect out family though, in his strong quiet way, and makes us laugh a lot. His favorite trick is to hide my Dad's garden shoes.
Sporti is so adorable, don't you agree? You can just see the love in his eyes can't you... he's a real star in our home.
