Stuie our pet dog is a true friend of our family. He's been with us since I was a pup myself and we've lots of cool adventures. The best one was when I was allowed to go with two of my friends on an overnight campout in the hills close our house in the country.
We decided to do the survival game. Didn't take a lot of stuff with us. We took almost no food and no sleeping bags or gear like that. We didn't even take flashlights! Kind of a dumb idea now that we thnk back on it.
We had fun building a lean-to with branches and finding things to eat. We managed quite well except for all the bugs that kept us up nearly all night. Used the branches as fans for the bugs too. We learned a lot especially how good a friend our old dog is. He stayed with me when I went swimming to make sure I didn't get into any trouble. Struie sure made me feel a lot safer when it was dark and we heard coyotes and other strange noises nearby.
Most of the time we just hang out together. Stuie likes to chase rabbits in the fields and the odd cat that wanders by. he also tags along when I go out riding on Silver my Apaloosa horse.
