This is Cargo... our pet pot-bellied pig. Don't you ya just lovty serious the long lashes?
Cargo looks pretty serious here but she is just a riot. She loves to run around in the yard and is very cuddly when more tired.
We think it is cool to have this pet since it is so different from everyone else's pets. It is also cool to know that George Clooney has a pet pot-bellied pig. This makes our pet pig so much more accepted by everyone. When we first got her our friends just laughed a lot. They were very curoius about her, a lot nervous and wonderred why we got her.
That's a good question really. Long story! The short version is that we were asked to adopt her when some friends had to go our of the country on military duty. They got her because thay had seen what a cool animal the pot-bellied pig really is when they were on another tour of duty so decided to get one for themselves.
Cargo likes to snuffle around in the yard looking for worms and grubs I think. Her fave treat is kernel corn. We have loads of cans of this just for her. Cargo also likes to have popcorn. She is a popcorn pig! She likes being indoors and cuddling. We lie on the carpet with her when we watch T.V. - she seems to like the National Geographic channel the best but will suffer through other shows as long as she has lots of popcorn. She goes crazy when the Dog Whisperer is on. Sometimes we thinks that she thinks she is a dog. (Our Golden Lab Henry thinks she's a funny kind of dog so they hang out a lot too.) The hijinks on Hannah Montana get her up and around. Go figure!
