Pete or Petey as we often call him is our sweet little pet rabbit. Some call him Peter Rabbit... but, well, it is Petey!
This adorable little rabbit loves to be cuddled and fed and makes us all laugh. He does not move around much yet but he is growing a little every day. Pretty soon he'll be realy big!
We chose to have a pet rabbit because they don't make as much noise as a dog and don't scratch the furniture like a cats do. Rabbits are a lot easier to clean up after as well, so that works.
We have a nice yard and a cage for Petey, and since the weather is always warm enough, even in winter, then he will stay outside when he a bit bigger. Many rabbits are used to the cold anyway, so maybe it wouldn't be a problem anyway, but we know we will have to give him lots of shade and cool water in the summer.
Mom says we'll also have to fence in the veggie patch this year to keep Petey out, as rabbits love more than just carrots or lettuce.
