My pet is my horse which is a beautiful little Andalusian stallion called Freedom. Hope you'll love these pictures... I think they really show that he just loves to run and be free.
Freedom's mane is really long and beautiful but when we enter shows I of course braid it and he looks very elegant and much more serious. His tail gets braided as well and I put on my jumping gear and we look quite smart.
Even though Freedom runs about all day, I practice with him every other day after school, trotting, cantering and then some jumps. Since I've had him we have made really good progress at the local horse shows. Of course I also have to do all the work to keep Freedom well-fed, clean, brushed, and watered. I'm not crazy about cleaning the stalls so I sometimes get my little brother to help me and pay him part of my allowance.
Freedom has a quirky side. He loves to try to make me fall off my saddle by puffing up his stomach when I am putting his saddle on him. If I don't give him a sharp little punch to get him to exhale, my saddle would simply slide over to the side and dump me in the dirt when I went to get into the saddle. Lots of horses try this, but Freedom keeps on trying. Wild!
He also likes to buck when he thinks I'm not paying attention, and soemtimes tries to scrape me off along the wall of the barn, but so far I've been able to keep him in hand and nothing weird has happened. Just keeps me on my toes a lot.
Freedom always seems to have a bad-hair day.
