Our billy goat is a sight to make anyone laugh! He is big and burly and likes to have his photo taken.
We have all decided that this goat who has become a pet in our hearts should have a cool name, so we sat down one night at dinnner and drew names from a hat. Our pet goat is now called Ajax, though most of the time he gets called Jax.
Jax has yellow eyes and almost always a frown, so with his big horns and long beard he could appear pretty scary to visitors. He sometimes bullies the smaller goats that we have and tries to steal their food, but that is just his nature.
We like him anyway as he is a daredevil. We never know where we will find this crazy goat, as he is always climbing smaller farm buildings, haystacks, barrels, stacks of wood, and one day he even climbed up onto the tractor. What a laugh! He does not seem to like it when we laugh at him, but it is hard not to most of the time. He is very weird in a good way.
Jax is not too cuddly but he is entertaining and original. He's jumped into the heart of our farming family.
