Omeara (oh-mare-ah) our lovely cat is the ruler of our house. She is right at home by the fire, her usual perch on colder days. We've had her since she was a kitten.
Omeara likes the gracious life and demands to be treated like royalty. She's been this way since day one. Definitely star material... our lovely pet star!
"'Meara" is quite strict with her rules. She does not like to be disturbed while napping or resting and likes to have homemade food. She refuses to eat any kind of tinned or packaged cat food and turns up her nose at any table scraps offered. She was even given a crystal bowl for her water and a pewter one for her food by our friends! Omeara is a house cat by choice. She does not seem interested at all in going after the field mice or birds in our garden.
Omeara sometimes lets us pet her, but not always. When she does deem to allow cuddling we all enjoy the purrs of contentment. Now you may wonder why we spoil this cat so much. I guess we've just fallen under her spell. Though we hide it well from her, we actually get a lot of laughs from watching how her royal highness manages us to get her way. She certainly proves the old saying that while dogs have owners, cats really do have servants!
