Million Dollar Pet Pix

Hi to everyone from me and Thunder. As you can see from this pix, my horse is young and really strong. A really hearty horse for sure! Thunder is the name my sister chose for him, since whenever this horse goes anywhere it is at high speed and really loud, just like thunder.

Thunder has been nicely broken in for riding and I love to go out on the trails with him. We have a large ranch and so there is lots of places to explore together.  Usually my sister comes with us on her horse Panic. I'll let her get Panic a star and tell her story about why she chose such a funny name for her horse. Even though we are on a farm and are used to being around horses we always wear helmets when we go out riding. A few times we've run very close to tree branches and jumped across little ditches and if we fell we could have really hurt our personal computers (heads).

We use western saddles and usually take along a lunch and the makings for a campfire whenever we go out for the day. Our two dogs also come along on the trail rides. This makes our parents happy to know that we have some protection against wild animals we might meet along the trail. It makes us feel better too, though we don't admit this to our folks. There are bears, coyotes, and other creatures that could scare our horses and it could get a bit hard for us to manage our horses if something suddenly startled us. The dogs are called Mandy and Beau and they are great buddies to each other and to us. 

I can not imagine not having a horse. They are so big and gentle (mostly) and make me feel really happy when I am around Thunder and our other horses. I think everyone should visit a farm and get to know about horses.
