Our adoptive pup is called Jupiter. As you can see from his eyes he is not smiling, yet, but we hope that living with my wife and I will make him feel better.
When we decided to get a dog we both agreed that we would adopt. We wanted to help an animal that was homeless, to give a stray a good home. So our journey began.
We went to a lot of local shelters and heard a lot of really sad stories about the stray pets we saw. Wow, there sure are a lot of them!
We saw many pups that we liked a lot but when we saw Jupiter both of us just knew he was the one for us. After being interviewed as propective pet parents we got to take Jupe home with us for the weekend to see how we all managed together.
Jupe seemed to sense that we cared for him but he was still a bit cautious. Don't know what made him so timid, but we're sure we can help him to feel much more relaxed and protected with us as his family. He is very obedient and now that we hae officially become his adoptive pet parents he is starting to settle in nicely. We go out to the country on the weekend and let him run in the fields. He really likes this and the car ride itself. Jupiter likes his big plush bed beside our fireplace and his favourite treat is a hamburger which he gets on our way to the country.
We're getting a portrait done of Jupiter for our den... maybe this will also hlp him to kno he is a star in or world and very much a part of our family.
