mdpp-award-08-sqPetPix Awards are given to pet-related sites that PR Sammi thinks are the most fun, the easiest to use, the most informative, the most family-friendly and that promote kindness to our animal companions. 

They are special pet websites which we think that pet lovers and proud pet parents everywhere will want to know about and visit! 

Note: Award recipients are listed in order of date of acceptance.

1. Val Heart the well-known an respected Expert Animal Communicator and Master Healer for people and their pets.

  At Play Photography which provides professional, fun and candid pet photography in the northern Virginia area (US).

3. 
Dogs4Dogs - a natural health website dedicated to spreading the truth about dog food, vaccination, dangerous pet meds and other aspects of holistic dog care. 7. Animal Hospitals - USA which offers healthcare information for treating sick or injured dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, gerbils, ferrets, prairie dogs and reptiles

Amanda Foundation is a registered non-profit pet rescue organization that rescues dogs and cats from City and County shelters in Los Angeles County, works to find good homes for these rescued animals. They also offer a free Spaymobile Clinic to help curb pet overpopulation 

9. Pettogethers provides a highly nutritious supplement for dogs and cats, PetCentrx "Vim & Vigor", which is highly recommended by Dr. Shawn Messonnier DVM 

10. Paws-itive Press is of interest to those thinking about starting a professional pet sitting business. It provides information about pet sitting classes and the "The Professional Pet Sitter" a professional business guide for pet sitters by Lori and Scott Mangold

11. Green Iguana Society which is an iguana reference site dedicatd to providing quality info on iguana care and info about current iguana adoptions and rescues throughout the US and Canada

12. Hayfield Riding Centre  is a both a riding academy for the public and and a commercial instructor training centre located in Aberdeen, Scotland. Courses for instructors include stable management, horse training, coach for competitive riders and coach for therapeutic riding. The centre also provides horse riding lessons for people of all ages.

Tayside Police Puppy Diary for their newest recruit, a German Sheperd puppy named Rebel. This puppy diary lets readers share Rebel's progress and perspectives as he is being trained for the important work he'll do in the Lothian and Borders area of the UK.


14.  4 Paws for Ability is a service dog training centre that provides assistance to people needing companion animal assistance. 4 Paws for Ability was recently features on Good Morning America show for their work training service dogs to assist autistic children.

15. East Central Therapy Dogs  is a is an independent therapy dog organization whose volunteers share the unconditional love of their dogs wherever they are needed. They visit retirement homes and nursing homes in Peterborough, Minden and Haliburton, VON day care centres, Community Living centres, local group homes and the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, bringing smiles wherever they go.


16. Pets Gone Green is a pet blog dedicated to advocacy for a  greener environment and improved animals rights. This pet blog is co-authored by Cedar, a Chesapeake Bay retriever who writes and works on environmental issues and spends her extra time as a pet therapy dog and by pet partner Kathy Deitsch.  "Doggone Green" is their  crusade and the name of their recent book about how pets and their people can help create a sustainable future.


17. Guide Dogs of Texas, a pet charity located in San Antonio Texas, is dedicated to providing  guide dogs for Texans, who are visually impaired, to improve their mobility and independence. This organization raises and trains the guide dogs they provide.

18. Dakota's Tails, is the blog of a beautiful little Labradoodle puppy that is being trained as a Guide Dog through the Guide Dogs of Texas. You can follow Dakota's progress as he learns all his important guide-dog tasks and responsibilites.

19. Mason's Tales, is another puppy blog from Guide Dogs of Texas. It is writen by Jamie Landy, the Apprentice Guide Dog Mobility Instructor who looks after Mason's advanced training as a guide dog. Mason is also a beautiful Labradoodle.

 

20. Freedom Service Dogs of Englewood Colorado rescues dogs from local shelters and custom trains each dog to assist people with disabilities. Their custom trained service dogs assist their partners in day-to-day activities providing their human companions with a greater degree of independence and an overall higher quality of life.
