The entire website started with the concept of the PetPix Time Capsule which uses a computer program called a pixel script.
The pet time capsule is made up of oodles and oodles of pixels. Pixels are what makes up the picture on a computer screen. Pixels are very very small... about the size of a period. So on a screen there are millions of pixels.

How The Pet Time Capsule Works |
|
|
When you visit the PetPix Time Capsule you'll see the page is covered with a grid full of little square blocks. These pixel blocks measure 10 pixels by 10 pixels in size (100 pixels in total).
1. To make your pet a star you start by choosing the pixel block where you'd like your pet's star to appear. Next you buy a pixel block you get a star to mark this spot. (Your Mom or Dad or another adult can help you with this part.)
2. Your star becomes the key to finding your pet inside the PetPix Time Capsule! When you send us a cool story about your pet and up to 3 pix we put these into the pet time capsule for you and connect them to your star.
3. When visitors to the site move their mouse over your star, a picture of your pet instantly appears! When the visitor clicks on your star, they go right into the time capsule itself and onto your pet's own page. Here they get to see the other pixs you sent in as well as the story you wrote about your pet. How cool is that?
 IT BECOMES A GAME... no kidding!
As the PetPix Time Capsule fills up with everyone's stars and pets, it becomes even more fun... sort of like a treasure hunt or a "Where's Waldo" kinda game. Guess we'd call it a "Where's Fido" game, since it is for pets. Cool, kewl, cool!
So, that's it for now. I gotta run to find my cat pals and just see what trouble they are getting into today!
